Online stores built around how you actually sell.
A store is a checkout with opinions. The decisions that matter are how someone finds the right product, how few taps stand between wanting it and owning it, and what happens in the twenty minutes after they buy.
A build that already exists
ScHott Sauce is a chef-crafted hot sauce brand with a custom storefront on headless Shopify — product pages, a cart drawer, email capture, GA4, and a hero where the product photography is the typography. Shopify handles the money; everything a customer sees is built.
That split is the usual shape. A proven checkout takes the payments, and the storefront is free to look like the brand instead of like a theme.
Choosing a platform
If a stock Shopify theme with good photography would sell your product, I will tell you that and quote you accordingly. Custom work earns its cost when the brand has to carry the sale, when the catalogue has an unusual shape, or when the buying flow is doing something a theme has no concept for.
Before I build anything I check what you already pay for. A $20 per month tool you already own usually beats a custom feature someone has to maintain.
What’s included
In the base price. These are the reason the rest of it holds up.
Worth saying plainly
I build the storefront and connect it to a payment processor. I do not build payment collection myself, and no form I write stores a card number — that hands off to a compliant system that already exists for the purpose.
What it costs
Questions, answered honestly
Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom?
For most small brands, Shopify handling the checkout with a custom storefront on top gives the best of both — a payment system you never have to worry about and a store that looks like your brand. If a stock theme would do the job, I will say so.
Can you migrate my existing store?
Yes. Platform migrations including products, customers, and order history are part of what I do. The main work is usually URL mapping so you do not lose the search rankings you already have.
Do you handle payment processing?
I connect your store to a processor like Shopify or Stripe and configure the flow. The processor handles the card data and the compliance that comes with it. No form I build stores a card number.
What about product photography?
I do not shoot it, and it is usually the single highest-leverage thing you can spend on. I will tell you what shots the layout needs and can recommend people in the Triangle who do it well.
